"A tactile coloring or paintint experience, Color SENSEation features eight custom coloring subjects by San Francisco artist Debi Harrison. These are not just pictures to color….they are printed on heavy paper with dark, deeply embossed lines. These pictures are perfect for visually impaired individuals learning shapes and outlines. Each picture is titled in English with the title in Braille blind embossed underneath.
The heavily embossed lines of the drawings are easily followed with the fingers and facilitate using a crayon or paint brush. Ideal for children with visual impairments or motor skill challenges, Color SENSEation levels the playing field for children with disabilities. Drawings include bear with balloon, birds, butterfly, flower, horse, rainbow, snails, train.

Dawn Smiddy, an instructor at Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, points out that "Color is a concept. We associate color with memories and senses other than just sight. This is why the concept of color is not perceived the same from person to person. Understanding this as a concept, allows the artist to embark on an exploration into color that is not only useful in the everyday life of the visually impaired artist, but a lot of fun!
