Perfect Portable Activity for Families On the Go

The dog days of August have arrived. With record breaking high temperatures throughout much of the country, dog days seems an apt description of this summer. Like an old hound dog, we might welcome a chance to lie down in the shade of a spreading oak and take a nap. If not that, then to settle down in an Adirondack chair with an iced tea and an engaging book. Need a suggestion? E-mail me. I’ll share my current favs.

Hopefully we’ve all had or will have time for leisure this summer. We need a change of pace and place from time to time to renew our spirits and restore our energy. That said, the journey from one place to another can be stress-filled. Whether traveling on ground or in the air, particularly when in the company of children, we need ways to minimize that stress. One way is to engage our children in activities that not only keep them busy but also get them thinking creatively. If the activity is portable, preferably lightweight and compact, and offers a variety of ways to play so much the better.

Think-ets meet all these criteria. Everyone, adults and children alike, are fascinated with the tiny treasures inside these small pouches. Just naming and talking about each one is fun, but that's just the beginning. Soon you'll be choosing favorites, alphabetizing, discussing similarities and differences, and playing memory games, as one trinket goes missing or another gets added or one shifts position, all while eyes are closed. No peeking allowed. Think-ets inspire creative imagination and storytelling too.

In celebration of summer and to encourage on the go imaginative play, we will be including a Think-ets free with every order of $50 or more received during the month of August. Enjoy!

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Use caution when playing with Think-ets around children under three years old.
